Emilie was born on May 28, 1937 in Wymyschle, Poland, and passed away into the presence of her Lord and Savior on September 29, 2019, surrounded by her family. Emilie fought a courageous battle with cancer, always trusting in God and never wavering in her faith. Hosting and serving family and friends was Emilie's greatest joy.
She always put others first, and was happiest surrounded by her family. After dinner would find her playing games with Cornie and whoever would drop by to join them for coffee. Emilie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend to many, and will be deeply missed.
Left to mourn is her loving husband of 60 years, Cornie; her children Judy (Ivan), Ron (Cheryl), Doug (Karen); nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, five sisters, and four brothers. A special thanks to all the staff and volunteers at Holmberg House for their amazing care and kindness.
A celebration of Emilie's life will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Central Heights Church, 1661 McCallum Road, Abbotsford. If desired, donations in Emilie's memory may be made to Cyrus Centre Ministries.
