SCOTT, ELSIE LOUISE

On February 10, 2009, Elsie Louise Scott passed away peacefully with her husband by her side, at Mission ECU after a lengthy illness. She will be remembered with cherished memories and heartfelt love as a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her loving, devoted husband of 52 years, Charles, four children and their families: Brenda Scott, Norma and Alan Harvey, Jack Scott and Brenda Walls, and Charlene & Tom Harvey. She was a wonderful grandmother to seven grandchildren and one great grandchild: Bryan and Corey Froese, Tanya & Scott Harvey, Brendon Trudeau (Brianna Neale), Cole and Ryan Harvey, and Cooper Trudeau. She was predeceased by her parents, Tom and Daisy DeLair, one brother and three sisters. Mom will always be remembered for the lady who put everyone else before herself. She loved a good story and had a wonderful sense of humor. Mom was an avid curler, enjoyed working in her garden and spending time with her family & friends. She was famous for her cooking and great Sunday dinners. The aroma of fresh baked bread, pies or cookies was forever in the air. When friends dropped in there was always something to have with the tea or coffee. Walking into Mom's house was like walking into a big hug. She took great pride in making their house a warm, comfortable home for all to enjoy. We would like to thank the staff at Mission Hospital ECU for all your loving care, you looked after her just like she was your Mom, for that we are forever grateful. Thank you to Dr. Patel for your support and kind manner in helping us through this. A celebration of life will be held in Elsie's honour at 2pm, Saturday, February 28th at Cascade Community Church, 35190 DeLair Rd., Abbotsford, B.C. with the tea to follow at the Rancho.
