Memorably touching the lives of many, our beautiful and spirited Elizabeth (Bette) Joan Wilcox, our big-hearted “Bette-Boop”, has embarked on her next journey. (May 28th, 1948 – March 24, 2009).
A delicate, emotional and forgiving woman with an unconventional, industrious, creative and artistic presence cannot be compared. Bette had a truly hospitable heart, welcoming all into her life without judgment. She nurtured and raised with all of her heart, a daughter Nicole Susan Wilcox, who currently resides in Vancouver. Bette was a fighter and strong woman who withstood all of the experiences life gave her. She worked so genuinely in this life, I know the next will be more forgiving. She was my favorite person; my best friend, my sister, my room-mate, my challenger, and the most fascinating woman I ever met. My mother, I will miss her.
Most notably remembered for her forthcoming, honest, and entertaining stories. She filled many a room, and many a heart across her travels. Raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, and settled to the Lower Mainland.
Thanks to the many people who have called and offered support. An intimate service held on Thursday, April 2nd, 2009. A celebration of life to follow on May 28th, 2009.
