Elizabeth MARSHALL

April 20, 1924 – October 28, 2008

Elizabeth Marshall died Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at MSA Manor in Abbotsford, BC.

She was born April 20, 1924 in Pascha Chukmack, Russia, to Jacob and Elizabeth Wall. The family came to Canada in 1929, settling in Sardis, BC. In 1945 the family moved to a large dairy farm in Matsqui, BC. She joined the Matsqui MB church and continued to serve the church and community where she felt needed. She was married to David Teichrob in July 1947. They moved to Regina, Saskatchewan, where their son, Ron was born. Two years later they moved to Chilliwack, BC where their daughter, Doreen, was born. David became ill with leukemia and died in 1950. She gave her all in the role of a single parent, raising her two children alone.

In 1975 she moved to Victoria BC to own and operate a successful fabric business – “Yards and Yards Fabrics”. After retiring, she moved to Abbotsford, BC in 1995 where she enjoyed making and selling crafts. Her last few years were spent at Menno Terrace and more recently at MSA Manor, where her spirit ascended to be with Jesus forever. The family is most grateful for the care given to her by the staff at MSA Manor.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband David Teichrob, her second husband Chester Marshall, two granddaughters and her brothers Gerhardt Wall and Jake Wall.

She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her two children: Ron (Bev) Teichrob, Doreen (Brian) Knoll; six grandchildren: Heather (Phil) Slater, Jonathan Knoll, Chrissy (Jim) Fehr, Lisa (Kelly) Morrisseau, Brenda Teichrob, Angela (Mikhail) Ofenboeck; ten great grandchildren, one brother George (Helen) Wall, one sister Adelaide (George) Epp and one sister in law Helen Wall.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 3, 2008 at 1:30 pm at Central Heights Church (1661 McCallum Rd, Abbotsford, BC).

If desired, gifts in her memory may be made to The Gideons, or to a charity of your choice.
