LINDGREN (Knorr), Elizabeth

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Mother Elizabeth (Knorr) Lindgren. Betty was born April 15, 1932 on the family farm near Kerrobert, Saskatchewan and has made Mission her home since 1959. Prior to her working years Mom was an avid gardener, canning and preserving most of the family pantry goods for her family. To the neighborhood kids she was known as Betty Buns as no-one's cinnamon rolls came close to hers. She most enjoyed the family dinners where she could bring out all the special treats. Once her children had grown, mom worked the next 23 years as a caregiver and cook in various residences in the Mission area. Her number one hobby was crocheting, which traveled with her everywhere, She also enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren. Mom is survived by her 4 children: April Rykers, Lance and his wife Diana Lindgren, Mark Lindgren, Blake Lindgren, two sisters, 11 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Bakerview Celebration Center (34863 Cemetery Ave, Mission) with a fellowship tea and internment to follow. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the BC Cancer Foundation or the Mission Hospice Society. (Christine Morrison Hospice Residence)
