Elizabeth Jane Conroy (nee Scott)

Was born November 10, 1914 in Rothiebrisbane, Fyvie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, and passed away into the presence of her Lord on February 22, 2018.

The family sailed to Canada on the maiden voyage of the Leticia in 1925, landing in Halifax. They travelled by CNR to Ridgedale, BC and set up their first farm, the “North Flabbets” on Bateman Road in Clayburn.

Elizabeth worked as a gas jockey, a domestic and a nanny. She married Patrick in 1936 in Calgary, AB. She loved dancing, gardening, baking, traveling and most of all being with her family.

She is survived by her son Paddy (Mary); daughters Jeannie and Beverly Anne; 9 grandchildren Scott, Sherry, Cristen, Jason, Donald, Ashley, Logan, Elliot and Robert;

9 great grandchildren; 4 great, great grandchildren; nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Patrick, the love of her life, in 1982; as well as her brothers George and Tom and sisters Peggy and Nellie. A special thank you to all the staff and volunteers at Tabor Home for their excellent care and understanding of our mom’s needs.

Also the family thanks Fraser Health and the caregivers that looked after our mom while she was able to be in her home before she had to be placed in Tabor Home.

Cremation with a celebration of life to follow at a later date.
