FRIESEN Elizabeth. (nee Driediger)
Betty passed away at home on February 12, 2012, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Born in Drake, SK March 16, 1937, the 6th of 10 children of Abram and Elizabeth (Froese) Driediger. Predeceased by her father (1962), mother (1988), sister Kathy (1970) & brother Jake (1991). Dearly loved by her husband and partner of 54+ years Jack; blessed with 2 sons Gordon (Elaine Patkau), Donald (Karen Robertson), 2 daughters Beverly (Rudy Genzel), Maureen (Rudy Kehler), 11 grandchildren Angela, Nick (Carolyn), Jessica (Jonathan), Kate-Lynn, Paul (Steph), Gillian, Karli, Josiah, Bradley, Mitchell and Lauren and 1 great grandchild Jasper. Special thanks to the Fraser Health Palliative Care nurses who helped us honour Betty's wish to die at home. A celebration of Betty's life will be held at Bethel Mennonite Church 24687 56 Avenue, Langley, BC on Saturday February 18, 2012 at 11:00 am.
