Elizabeth (Betty) Ennis 1916 – 2004
Betty Ennis passed away at the age of 88 years on March 18, 2004 at the Menno Home.
She was predeceased by her husband Glen in November 2003 and is survived by her sons, Roger (Dianne) their children, Kathy, Stacey and Steven and Gerry (Sandy) and their children, Jason, Clayton (Suzanne) and Tyler.
Betty was born in Winnipeg, moving to the Abbotsford area in 1920. Prior to WWII she worked at the Abbotsford Cottage Hospital and during WWII she served in the RCAF as a nursing assistant. After the war she and her husband moved back to Abbotsford where she was a full time homemaker. Betty enjoyed an active life and had a passion for gardening. She enjoyed walking and was seen daily with her husband walking throughout various parts of Abbotsford until she began to suffer from Alzheimer’s disease. She was a patient at Menno Home from October 2003 until her death. The family would like to thank the staff at Menno Home for their excellent care during her stay. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of BC in her name. No service by request.
