Greve

Elizabeth Ann

nee Clappison, Fitzpatrick

Nov 17, 1941 to Nov 23, 2005

Lisa passed away at home with family and friends around her after a courageous fight against ovarian cancer. She fought long and hard, with dignity and grace. True to her nature she stretched a three year survival rate into six, and with great passion embarked on new adventures and challenges; making new friends all along the way.

Lisa grew up in Haney, BC as the daughter of Jack and Margaret Clappison. Being fiercely independent, she set off in her late teens to Australia where she settled for over a decade. Coming back to Abbotsford BC she worked for BC. Tel for the remainder of her working career. Lisa had a strong community spirit; active with Women in Business lunch groups, the National Ovarian Cancer Association (NOCA) and the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association (CASARA). She led a Relay for Life team to raise money for research for cancer. She was an avid diver, who enjoyed life under water as much as she did above. She embraced friends encountered throughout her life as family, always with an open heart and words of wisdom.

Lisa will be lovingly remembered by her sister Dr. Judy Clappison (Jim Holloway), her son Micheal Fitzpatrick, her daughter Samantha Gobeil (Paul) and her grandchildren Tessa, Jack and Jorgia.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. John The Devine Anglican Church, 21299 River Road, Maple Ridge, BC Dec 9, 2005 at 11:00 AM.
