BERGEN, Elias
August 15, 1919 - July 17, 2008
Late of Abbotsford, formerly of Vancouver, went to be with the Lord July 17, 2008 aged 88 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Katharina; children Agnes (David) Trendall, Peter (Marlene), and Kaethe (Wells) Jones; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; his sisters Agnes Harder, Mary Baerg and Frieda Pankratz and many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Elias and Aganetha and his sister Katie Neufeld. Viewing will take place Sunday, July 20 between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. at Eben-Ezer Mennonite Church, 2051 Windsor Street, Abbotsford. Graveside service will be held Monday, July 21 at 10:00 a.m. at Maclure Road Cemetery; followed by the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Eben-Ezer Mennonite Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated.
