Elfrieda passed away peacefully on June 8, 2005 at the age of 75 years.
She was predeceased by her brother Peter Sawatzky in 1992. She is survived by her loving family, husband of 35 years Vern; daughter Cindy; sister Anne (Nick) Thiessen; brother Ike (Nita) Sawatzky, and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, June 12 from 7:30 — 9:00 pm in Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Rd., Abbotsford. A graveside committal service will be held on Monday, June 13 at 10:30 am in Maclure Road Cemetery, followed by a memorial service to celebrate her life at 1:00 p.m. in Central Heights Church, 1661 McCallum Road, Abbotsford.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Child Evangelism Fellowship, 17619 96 Avenue, Surrey BC V4N 4A9.
