Eldon Marvin Scheirer went to be with the Lord in heaven on June 17, 2021, at the age of 77, at the Langley Hospice in Langley, BC. Eldon was born to parents Samuel and Helena Scheirer, on March 21, 1944, on the Scheirer family farm near Lemberg, Saskatchewan. After attending Peace School, a one room rural elementary school, Eldon graduated from Caronport High School in 1963, and then graduated after three years at Briercrest Bible Institute (BBI) in 1966.
Eldon is survived by his wife of almost 55 years, Annette. Eldon is also survived by son Steven Scheirer and partner Tara, son David Scheirer and partner Angelique, daughter Lisa Scheirer, as well as his beloved grandchildren Burke, Preston, Milan, and Jessa.
Eldon's steadfast faith and trust in God was exemplified by the integrity he showed in the consistent and steadfast way he lived from day to day. One way he expressed his love of God throughout the years was by singing with his rich and lovely bass voice in various ensembles and groups. Another way Eldon showed his integrity and love of God was through the hardworking, practical, resilient, and honest way he approached and conducted himself through his work.
If Eldon was not at work or with his family, you could find him on a golf course, rain or shine, enjoying time with his good friends.
Eldon showed nothing but deep gratitude for his family, friends, and faith every day, until the last days of his life.
A private Celebration of Life was held with close family and friends.
