Ed passed away to his heavenly home on April 7, 2022 at ARH after struggles related to Parkinson's Disease.
He was born to Jacob C. and Maria (Rempel) in Yarrow, BC where he lived throughout his childhood.
He wed Mary Fast in 1952. Ed's 35 year teaching career, including many years as the principal of Bradner Elementary School, took them to Vancouver, Langley and Penticton before settling in Abbotsford in 1958.
Ed enjoyed many good retirement years loving the outdoors taking canoe trips, hiking, fishing and jogging. He was also a committed volunteer at MCC furniture store for many years.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary; children Richard (Susan), Carol (Bruce) and Gary (Lorna); and sisters Betty Voth, Joan Braun and brother Bert (Elsie). He also leaves 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his parents, brother Karl and sisters Melita Peters, Mary Hamm and Naomi Giesbrecht.
A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
