PENNER; Edward. May 8, 1923 ~ August 22, 2014. A triplet born in rural Manitoba, Ed worked the family farm, served overseas in the Canadian Army for three years of war, logged in the Queen Charlottes, and worked as a union carpenter on provincial construction projects. He met and married Connie Hammond in 1966 and settled in Vancouver. After retiring in 1980, they moved to Mission where Ed happily golfed, lawn bowled, played crib, gardened, volunteered with the Hospital Auxillary and the Mission Legion, and generally enjoyed life and his family.

Predeceased by Connie and five siblings, Ed is survived by older brother Herb, stepson Barry (Gillian), granddaughter Kate and great granddaughter Emma. Thanks go to the staff of Pleasantview and the Residence at MMH for their friendship and especially to Dr. A Edelsen for his caring support. No flowers by request but your warm thoughts are always appreciated. Ed was a loving, kind and gentle man. He is missed.
