KUSHNERENKO; Dr. Peter. Dr. Peter passed away peacefully at Kiwanis Care Centre in North Vancouver on March 6, 2014 in his 85th year. Born in Ituna, Saskatchewan, Peter graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1954, followed by a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Toronto, Guelph in 1960. He had a long career in regulatory veterinary medicine, including 30 years of service as a health inspector with the Canadian Department of Agriculture. His is pre-deceased by his wife, Sylvia Ann, and is survived by his 4 children, Reg (Veronica), Deborah (Jerry), Mark (Marnie) and Susanne (Jan), and his 8 grandchildren. His family would like to thank the excellent team of caregivers at the Kiwanis Care Centre who were so great with him in his final years. His bright smile will be missed. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 14 at 2:00 p.m. at First Memorial Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Rd., North Vancouver.
