Douglas passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord on October 8, 2007 at the age of 85 years. He is survived by his loving family, wife of 54 years Kay; daughters Sylvia (Mike) McLeod and Janet (Gary) Smith; 6 grandchildren Peter (Crystal), David and Jennifer McLeod and Allison, Philip and Stuart Smith, also by one great granddaughter Abigail McLeod.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Oct. 12 at 2:00 p.m. in Sevenoaks Alliance Church, 2575 Gladwin Road, Abbotsford, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the S.I.M., 10 Huntingdale Blvd, Scarborough, ON, M1W 2S5 or to the Gideons.
