Doug passed away on April 14, 2007 at Mission Memorial Hospital at the age of 94. He was born on July 5, 1912 to Thomas William and Marie Jeanette Catherwood in their home in Hatzic.
He is predeceased by one son, Douglas De Pas Catherwood, Jr. and survived by his loving wife Nettie, sons Ernie, Pat, Mike, and Kelly, five granddaughters, three grandsons, and two great-grandchildren, three foster families, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and a lifetime of friends and acquaintances.
A celebration of Doug CatherÂwood's life will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 2:00 pm at the Cedar Valley Mennonite Church, 32840 Janzen Ave., Mission, BC. A tea will follow the service.
The family gratefully declines flowers, but for those wishing to remember Doug, a donation could be made to the Christine Morrison Hospice or to a charity of your choice.
