Douglas Finch, age 68, of Abbotsford, passed away suddenly on Monday, April 4, 2016. Doug is lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years Marilyn Bevan Finch, children Linda (Rose) of San Francisco, Gordon (Nancey) of Abbotsford and Jennifer (Ryan) of Williams Lake, grandchildren Harly, Chesley and Shanelle, sister Joan (Lawrence) Joiner of Chilliwack, brother Bob (Darlene) of Abbotsford, mother-in-law Linda Bevan, and several brothers/sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Gordon and Edna Finch of Abbotsford, father-in-law John Bevan, and brothers-in-law Garry Rerick and Les Bevan. Doug became friends with many of his co-workers at the City of Abbotsford where he worked for 20 years before retiring in 2015. Doug was always willing to help others. He loved to have fun, and he had a great sense of humour and an unforgettable laugh. A celebration of life will take place at Phoenix Ballroom on Saturday, April 16 from 1 - 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
