March 10, 1927 - April 16, 2019
With heavy hearts and great sadness, we announce the passing of our dearest Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother Doris Skalicky (Hildebrand). Doris passed away peacefully on April 16, 2019 at the age of 92 at Abbotsford Regional Hospital. She was born on March 10, 1927 in Brokenhead, Manitoba and moved to Abbotsford in 1953.
Doris was predeceased by her husbands, Neil Hildebrand in 1985 and Slim Skalicky in 2007, her sisters and brothers. Doris is survived by her six children; Steve (Dianne), Dianne (Warren), Doreen (Lorne), Dan, Ken (D'Arcy) and John (Helen), 25 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was a war bride, lived a long and wonderful life, a life truly lived for her family who she loved unconditionally. She loved to entertain and celebrate special occasions with her family and loved ones. Her door was always open. She will be missed dearly and cherished in our hearts forever.
