Donald Cossar Ramsay

Donald Cossar born on April 6, 1922 in Killarney, Manitoba, passed away peacefully at Menno Hospital in Abbotsford, BC on Monday, June 13, 2005.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Jane, sons Craig of Winnipeg, Bruce (Judy) of Calgary, daughter Sandra and his grandson Willie of Maple Ridge. Also left to mourn his passing are brother Gordon (Jean) Ramsay of Abbotsford and brother-in-law Richard (Ghislaine) Cawley of Montreal.

Don joined the RCAF in 1941 and served overseas from 1944-45. He worked for GMAC in Winnipeg for 31 years and spent the last 15 years of retirement in Abbotsford. Don loved to garden and to spend time with his only grandson. He will be sorely missed by his loving family and friends.

Don suffered a debilitating stroke in 2001 and will be forever remembered for his great courage and graciousness over the past four years. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Menno Hospital for their loving care and kindness.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Don’s life will be held at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 2597 Bourquin Crescent East, Abbotsford at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2005.
