Bruce was born in Vancouver, B.C. to Martha and James McMillan - both now deceased.
He received his public schooling in Vancouver, and following high school, Bruce attended U.B.C. and obtained a B.SC. degree in Pharmacy.
He worked short periods of time in Vancouver, Kelowna, and London, England. His last employment as a pharmacist was in Abbotsford, B.C. where he worked in Woodwards - now the Bay-store.
He also met his wife, Alice Robinson, here. They were not blessed with children, but Bruce worked for seventeen years with Christian Service Brigade for boys, and enjoyed that ministry.
Bruce was offered early retirement at age 52, which he took, but continued to work part-time at the Bay, as well as People's store, until he was sixty, and he and Alice enjoyed a number of overseas trips.
Bruce is survived by his wife Alice, his sister Ardith and her husband, Raymond Robinson, and their children Diana Moore and James Robinson, and great-niece Steevi Robinson.
A memorial service will be held at Sevenoaks Alliance Church on September 9, at 1 pm.
