Passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family on Friday, August 15, 2003 at the age of 55. She was predeceased by her mother Marjorie Severson.
She is survived by her husband Michael, two strong amazing daughters, Chrissy and Teri, her father Ed Severson and 3 beautiful grandchildren.
She had courageously fought the battle of diabetes and kidney failure, showing her strength and will for life to the end.
Diane was born in Queen Charlotte City on August 19, 1947. Met and married Michael Shelby in Surrey and moved to Abbotsford where she spent the majority of her life, of late residing in Quesnel. Diane will always be remembered for her outstanding strengths, great sense of humour and her love for family and friends. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by those of us who had the privilege to know her.
A small intimate memorial was held on Sunday, August 17, 2003 in the home of her oldest daughter where friends and family members came to celebrate her life and mourn their loss, but will be heaven's gain. In lieu of flowers kindly donate to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation.
