DENNIS REAMSBOTTOM

Dennis Seaton Reamsbottom of Mission, B.C. on December 31, 2002 in his 86th year.


Born March 3, 1916 at Kamloops, B.C. Denny is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Frances Rebecca "Becky" Reamsbottom. Denny is also survived by his son, George of Vancouver, daugher-in-law, Iris of Maple Ridge, granddaughter Felicia and her husband Rob, of Port Moody, granddaughter Amelia and her husband Phil of Woss, and -to Denny's great pride- his great granddaughters Kailey and Kiera. Also survived by his brothers Jack of 100 Mile House and Bob of Powell River as well as many nieces and nephews.


Denny survived his country overseas in World War II, losing an arm in battle in December 1944. He was a member of the War Amps Association of Canada.


Denny and Becky retired to McConnell Creek, near Mission in 1971, and it was there that he formed many lasting friendships, as he became actively involved in country life. An avid supporter of the Farmer's Institute. Denny also took the time to enjoy fishing, bingo, landscaping his land and any winning game by the Toronto Maple Leafs.


Denny will be remembered by all.


A memorial service will be held at the Miracle Valley Salvation Army Dining Hall, Saturday, January 11th from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the McConnell Creek Farmer's Institute (for hall reconstruction). 604-826-2349.
