It is with heavy hearts the family of Dennis Blacklock are announcing his passing on June 22, 2021.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pauline, of almost 58 years, and his children, Darrell (Linda), daughters Denise (Darcy), Cheryl (Glen) Tolsma, and Kristine (Dean) Konrad. As well as 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Dennis was born and raised in Abbotsford BC on a dairy farm. Through hard work and perseverance, he started dairy farming in Huntingdon, BC. Together with his wife they purchased their first farm in 1974 in Matsqui Prairie. In 1999 they sold the farm in Matsqui and moved to Central Alberta with Darrell and Kristine and their families.
Dennis loved the prairies and eagerly accepted the challenges of starting a new operation from the ground up. He never regretted the move and was proud of the farm. As well, Dennis was proud of his family and loved his grandchildren. His teasing, joking manner will greatly be missed by his family and he will forever be in their hearts.
There will be no funeral, but later there will be a private gathering for family and friends at the Blacklock Dairy Farm.
