David Sinclair passed away on September 6, 2003, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 63 years at MSA Hospital, Abbotsford, B.C. He was born on August 30, 1940 in Avonlea, Saskatchewan.
He is lovingly remembered by his dear wife Marg, of 33 years; children Jim, Rob (Sandra), Barclay (Kerry), Jayson (Bonnie), Scott (Billie), and Marc; and grandchildren Rachel, Wyatt, Taylor, Taylor, Lyndon, Chelsea and Brett.
He will also be missed by many family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and his 3 brothers. Dave served his church as a Knight of Columbus. He was employed in the field of corrections for 4 decades where he touched the lives of many in prison with his integrity, fairness, and compassion. One of his greatest loves was being the Senior Chief Probation & Parole officer in Queensland, Australia. Dave loved spending time in the ourdoors whether it was in his 5th wheel or his tent, with his family being his companions of choice. There was rarely a time when Dave was spotted without his buddy, grandson and best pal, Brett and his dog Kenzie.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 12, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church at 32550 – 7th Ave., Mission, B.C. With Father Mako Watanabe officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Abbotsford Hospice Society in memory of Dave. The family extends their appreciation to Gerry, Wayne, Linda, Robin and Dr. Kobierski for their care and support.
