David Schmidt late of Valhaven Care Home in Abbotsford, BC passed away on April 20, 2018 at the age of 89.
He is survived by his wife Mary, children Charleen (Vern), Jane (Wally), Patricia (Henry), 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by 6 brothers: Henry, George, Bill, John, Isaac and Nick and 2 sisters: Tina Enns and Betty Friesen.
An important value for Dave was being kind and he lived that every day. He willingly lent a helping hand to whomever needed it. He especially noticed those who felt uncomfortable and was always ready with kind words and a smile. His love for 'his' Mary and his 'girls' was unconditional. We miss you!!
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 11:00 am at Ross Road Community Church, 3160 Ross Road, Abbotsford.
