After a heroic battle with cancer, David Calvin Scharfe passed into the presence of our Lord on Thursday, January 8, 2004 at the age of 65 years. He is predeceased by his parents David and Dorothy and his brother Rodney. Dave will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years, Donna; son Brian (Kathy); grandchildren Kylie, Brody and Wes; sisters Betty (Ray) Simser and Teresa Wagorn; mother-in-law Evelyn Stuart; numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and close friends.
A Service of Remembrance was held on Monday, January 12, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at Cedar Valley Mennonite Church, Mission, B.C. The family wishes to thank Dr. Welsh and the palliative care nurses for their care and kindness as well as Pastor Dan Rempel, Cheryl Dyck and our church family for their ongoing support.
