DAVID BRIAN CASEY PELLERIN. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of David Brian Casey Pellerin on December 5, 2013 in Ft. McMurray, Alberta. Dave was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan on March 18, 1965 to George and Darlene (Auramenko) Pellerin and moved to Regina in 1970 where he attended St. Matthew Elementary School and then went on to graduate from Dr. Martin LeBoldus High School. Dave played Rugby in High School and excelled in Football where he was chosen to the All Star Team. He attended the University of Regina for a couple of years, but decided that was not his calling in life; rather he chose a career path of a Plumber / Gasfitter, where many of his family before him including his father, brother, brother-in-law and numerous uncles and cousins had chosen. Dave moved to Vancouver in 1989, where he completed his apprenticeship and obtained his journeyman status, then went to work in the Health Care System for many years. He worked as a plumber at Shaunessy Hospital, Surrey Memorial, and MSA Hospital until 2009. Following in his father’s footsteps, Dave became heavily involved in the Union Business to ensure that his fellow workers were looked after and was very proud of what he was able to accomplish. After leaving the Health Care industry, Dave worked for several different companies over the next few years as a Commercial Plumber before going to Ft. McMurray, Alberta to work as a Pipefitter for CIMS. While living in camp, he made many great friends that he talked about often; he looked forward to spending his evenings playing crib with them. Dave loved the outdoors and spent many summers up at Cultus Lake with his children. He spent many seasons as an assistant Coach for his son’s baseball team and could be found throughout the season on the soccer field cheering his kids on. He loved gardening. Dave was a loyal fan to his two favourite sports teams: The Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Philadephia Flyers. Fond memories of Dave included playing many hours of board games with his family. Dave was very proud of his children and looked forward to spending every moment with them. He was a fantastic father and stepfather. Dave will be dearly missed by the loves of his life; his wife, Wendy; daughter Jeunelle, son Dion, and step-son Trevor Block. Dave leaves to mourn his brother Kevin (Rosanne) and their children Cherise & Matt Burns and Kyle & Danielle Pellerin of Regina; sister Laurie (Mark) Pellerin-Burness and their children Austin, Zachariah and Matthew of Regina as well as many in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many dear friends throughout Canada. David is predeceased by his parents, George and Darlene Pellerin. Please join us in celebrating Dave’s life on Saturday, December 21, 2013. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 pm at the Salvation Army Cascade Community Church, 35190 DeLair Road, Abbotsford, BC. A party to honour Dave will be held that evening from 7:00 pm - 12:00 am at the Old Clayburn Schoolhouse Hall, 4315 Wright Street, Abbotsford, BC (Central Clayburn Village). Everyone is welcome.
