Daniel Walter (Brownie)

Passed away August 11, 2004 at his home, aged 80 years. Predeceased by his wife Joan, five brothers, two sisters and two great-grandsons. Survived by his brother Ted, daughters Shirley (Norm) Monds and Judy Hewson, sons Dan and Ken (Debbie), 8 grandchildren and 15 great children. Also by Claude, Emma, Eric, Helen, Janet, numerous nieces and nephews. In his early days, Brownie worked on tugboats and the Kettle Valley Railroad. After living in Brookmere with his wife and young children they moved to Mission, where he worked in the forest industry. He loved fishing and hunting, and passed this love and respect for the outdoors on to his children. they spent many weekends fishing interior lakes, sturgeon fishing on the Fraser River, and many autumns hunting. After retrement from the forest industry, Brownie spent most of his summers working in his greenhouse, as well as hunting and fishing with his many friends. these very good friends will fondly remember him. No service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Brownie.
