Dan made many trips to Ndola, Zambia to volunteer as a plumber with Seeds of Hope! Dan was involved in Cedar Valley Mennonite Church, Northside Community Church and most recently Northview Community Church.
Dan served the community as a plumber and owner of Schubert Plumbing and Heating for 40 years. He enjoyed quietly serving and helping people in a variety of ways in the different churches he attended.
Once he retired, he had time to become creative in the shop on his son’s property. Many people have enjoyed his creations. Mountain biking was an enjoyment for the past 25 years even until this past year of dealing with a terminal brain tumor. He discovered that an e-bike was the answer to climbing steep hills.
Traveling to many places of the world was always in the back of his mind and he often planned the next one before leaving from the most current place. Family and friends will miss his quiet gentle spirit, his smile, his love of enjoying his family, especially his grandkids.
See you soon sweetie!
