Cockerham, Cyral Frank
February 23, 1931 - December 13, 2008
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frank Cockerham on December 13, 2008. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Madeline of 54 years; his daughter Deborah and her husband Douglas Hendersen; his grandsons, Colin Hendersen, Kevin Hendersen, Murray Hendersen and his wife Rachel, their son Marshall Hendersen (great grandson); and sister Betty Reid, nieces and nephews. Frank was born in Dauphin, Manitoba and it was when his family moved to Claresholm, Alberta that he met Madeline. They moved to Edmonton where he joined the Edmonton City Police Force. He also joined the Police Pipe and Drum Band playing the side drums. After 25 years of service he retired and then moved to Abbotsford 21 years ago to be closer to their daughter and grandchildren, to golf and do some travelling. The family would like to thank Dr. J. Winner and the staff on 2 and 3 Cheam at Abbotsford Regional Hospital for their support and wonderful care. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 20, 2008 in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Abbotsford Hospice Foundation would be appreciated.
