Gone But Never Forgotten ~ It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Craig Douglas Hawkes. Loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather. Craig was predeceased by his parents Robert and Doris Hawkes.
He is survived by his wife Inese, two brothers Chris (Sherrie) and David (Marlene), two sisters Susan (Mark) and Wendy (Jamie), his children; Steven Hawkes (Barb), Corrine Price (Earle), stepchildren; Cyndi Tipping (Kevin), Greg Falk (Denni), Michael Johnson, grandchildren; Brooklyn & Taylor Price, Kenny Burkland (Elena), Raymond Jones, Kent & Connor Falk, great grandchild, Olivia Burkland, many nieces and nephews.
Craig was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and even ran his own trap line in his younger days. He enjoyed family time; especially a day on the river fishing with family and friends for Sockeye salmon or whatever was in season.
Craig enjoyed fly tying and making lures for everyone. He was an avid hunter who enjoyed hunting moose, deer, bear and especially going out for ducks and geese on Sumas Prairie with son-in-law Kevin. They were both members of a private club Associated Wildlife and hunted many days together for pheasant.
Craig had a huge heart and was extremely generous. Everyone who knew him described him as kind and loving.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date when able to gather safely. In lieu of flowers, please donate to wildlife associations like BC Wildlife, Ducks Unlimited. In memory of Craig he would love for family and friends to enjoy quality time together outdoors.
