Cornelius "Mick" Falk

March 24, 1929 - July 21, 2022
Mick Falk peacefully entered the presence of his Lord and Savior on July 21, 2022, surrounded by family.
He was born March 24, 1929, in Rosengard, Manitoba to Cornelius and Katharina Falk; just 3 months after they arrived from Ukraine. Mick married Ann Klassen in 1948 and together they had 5 children. Mick loved working with heavy equipment and in 1970 they moved the family from Winnipeg to Coquitlam to start a new business, Super Crane Rentals, which became GWIL Cranes. In 1976 they moved to Abbotsford.
Mick retired at 59. He loved the open road and drove his truck and 5th wheel until his strokein 2014. There were many trips to California, Arizona, Manitoba and to the cabin at Shuswap.
Mick is lovingly remembered by daughters Judy Brown, and Tilly (Stan) Wiebe, son, Rob (Amanda), son in law Bernie Wiebe, 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and 2 brothers in law.
He is predeceased by infant son Donald, wife Ann (1996), second wife Eleanor Fast (1999), great grandson Nate Wiebe, son in law Verne Brown, daughter Donelda Wiebe, third wife Helen Defehr (2018) as well as his parents and 9 siblings. Mick will be deeply missed by family and friends and his Mayfair Care Home family.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Parkinson's Society of BC or The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Memorial service will be held Saturday August 20, 2022 at 2 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home.
