It is with great sadness that the family of Cody Halfpenny announces his passing on January 15, 2018 at the age of 18 years.
He will be loved and missed by his dad, Corey; mom, Elena; brother, Tyler; grandmas, Ruth and Linda; aunt Bree and many other family members and friends.
He is predeceased by grandpas Frank and Garry and uncle Kelly.
Cody was a fighter from birth. He always had a smile that would light up the room even when he wasn't feeling well. He had a sparkle in his eyes that showed his love for life. His strength and determination carried his family through all of life's up and downs. He was a true inspiration to all of those who followed his adventure. He lived every day to the fullest knowing there was never a promise of tomorrow.
The family would like to thank all of the people who supported Cody throughout his journey especially those at ARHCC, BCCH, Sunnyhill Health Centre, St. Paul's Hospital, The David Foster Foundation, the countless therapists who dedicated their time to his recovery, and most of all his organ donor who allowed him to have more time to enjoy life.
Cody, you will be missed more than can be imagined.
Celebration of Life will be held January 31, 2018 at 1:00 pm, Cascade Community Church, 35190 DeLair Rd, Abbotsford, BC.
