February 9, 1939 - June 27, 2018
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Clifford (Cliff) Bergman at the age of 79. Cliff passed away at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital in the afternoon of June 27th with family by his side. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Cliff was born in Maidstone, Saskatchewan on February 9th, 1939 one of five siblings. He married the love of his life on April 15th, 1963 and together they raised their 6 children. He was a well respected and dedicated member of the RCMP for 31 years, working in a number of detachments in BC including Burns Lake and the lower mainland until settling in Abbotsford in 1969. After retiring from the RCMP, Cliff became a BC Liquor inspector for 10 years and then started his own consulting business.

Cliff loved the outdoors. He looked forward to his yearly hunting trips with his friends. He loved fishing, canoeing and tending to his garden and his tomato plants. Cliff was also an avid curler spending many evenings with friends at the Abbotsford curling club. He also enjoyed his time spent with 'the boys' at the 'hole-in-the-wall' sharing stories, jokes, dinner and card games over a pop or two. Cliff had a large circle of friends and cherished every moment with them. He really loved his family as it grew to include grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Cliff is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Anne, his sons Christopher (Yvonne), Alexander (Colleen), Dominic (Denise), Nicholas, daughters Marie-Claire and Naomi (Tom), grandchildren Tyler (Brittany), Colton, Aaron, Olivia, Liam, Madelyn, Taylor, Cameron and Brett, and great grandchildren Hannah and Ryder.

Cliff is now reunited with his parents Emil and Helen, brother David and sisters Claire, Ann and Hazel.

The family would like to thank the staff at Abbotsford Regional Hospital for their care and support while Cliff was there.

A Celebration of Life will be held July 21 @ 1:00 pm at the "Hole-in-the-Wall" 3807 Eldridge Road, Abbotsford.
