Clarinda Agnes Harkies aged 93 years was a resident at the Cedarbrooke Chateau in Mission, BC and passed away on December 19, 2014 at Sherwood Crescent Manor in Abbotsford, BC. She is survived by her daughters Elaine Harkies of Delta, Jean (Dennis) Jacobsen of Penticton and Maureen (Bruce) Mol of Vernon; grandchildren Heather Jacobsen (Wayne Schatz) of Massett & Miranda Jacobsen of Vancouver; great grandchild Haley Schatz; sister Margaret Hodgkin of Victoria as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her beloved husband George in 1991; parents William Wardrop in 1971 and Agnes Crawford McBirnie in 1939; brothers Alex in 1942 and John in 1984. Clarinda was born in Deroche and was a lifelong resident of the Mission area. Much loved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 23rd at St. Andrew's United Church in Mission, burial followed at Hatzic Cemetery, 34867 Cemetery Road, Mission, BC. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Red Cross or The BC and Yukon Arthritis Society. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at:
