After a courageous fight against cancer, Kip Penner lost his battle on May 20th at Holmberg House. Survived by his parents Barry and Ann Penner, his sister Ashley Duret, brother-in-law Michael and the love of his life his fiance Hudson Lee.
His love of food took him to the Vancouver Art Institute where he earned his red seal as a chef. He worked in various restaurants around the lower mainland and was so excited to join his sister at Field House Brewing growing local food for the restaurant.
His love of music and the arts took him back to school where he earned a degree in Criminology and Latin American Studies. His dream was to be a lawyer, he wrote his LSAT to attend law school just before he became ill. He was an old soul, a lover of the classics, Jazz music, and his dogs Hemingway and Fitzgerald. He will be remembered for his quick wit, knowledge of all random facts and passion for life.
You will be greatly missed Kip.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Heritage Alliance Church on Mount Lehman Road in Abbotsford on June 1, 2019 at 2:30 pm.
