His love of food took him to the Vancouver Art Institute where he earned his red seal as a chef. He worked in various restaurants around the lower mainland and was so excited to join his sister at Field House Brewing growing local food for the restaurant.
His love of music and the arts took him back to school where he earned a degree in Criminology and Latin American Studies. His dream was to be a lawyer, he wrote his LSAT to attend law school just before he became ill. He was an old soul, a lover of the classics, Jazz music, and his dogs Hemingway and Fitzgerald.
