GEDE, Christian Frederick Christoph
Peacefully passed into the presence of his Lord on May 16, 2012. Chris died of congestive heart failure in the Abbotsford Regional Hospital. Thank you to the nurses and doctors in CCU for the care that they extended during the final 2 weeks of his life.
Chris was born on July 17, 1920 in Tikob North Sjaeland, Denmark but lived his final years in Abbotsford, British Columbia. He leaves to mourn his passing, two nephews and their families: Steen Gede in Charlottenlund, Denmark and Jan Gede In Koge, Denmark.
He also leaves behind his cousins Bodil Rasmussen and Eskil Rasmussen in Denmark. Although Chris had no relatives in Canada, he leaves behind friends in Abbotsford. Chris lived his last three years in the Menno Pavilion. Special thanks to Rose, Penny, Carol and Jan as well as his 'tablemates' who treated Chris with great respect and warmth. A memorial service will be held for Chris in his long-time church home, Trinity Lutheran-Canada, 3845 Gladwin Road, Abbotsford on Monday, June 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor David Hilderman will be officiating.
