February 8, 1972 - July 28, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Chris Janas on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 46 years of age.

Chris is survived by Shea, his wife of 12 years, and his two beautiful daughters, Lexi and Kasey. He is also survived by his mother, Maria Janas of Poland; sister Yolanda (Tom); nieces Victoria (Simon), Nicole and great niece Charlie; his father Zygmund (Helen) Janas; younger sisters Gosia (Joel); niece Mila and nephew Isaac; sister Liz (Kevin) and niece Ava, along with many other extended family and friends.

Chris was born in Namyslow, Poland on February 8, 1972. He moved to Canada at 16 years of age. As a young man he worked many different jobs, finally settling on Drywalling.

In 2005, Chris earned his Realtors License, a career he would enjoy for 12 years. In the past year he became a co-owner of a concrete forming company. Chris was an avid outdoorsman, he loved being on the water cruising and fishing on his boat, or pounding the snow on his snowmobile in the winter.

However, his greatest passion was his family, especially his three girls, Shea, Lexi and Kasey, whom he loved more than anything. He was a devoted husband and an amazing father, always doing everything he could to make sure his girls were happy and taken of.

He will be forever missed for his love, his generosity, warmth and positive attitude, and his smile.... a smile that could light up any room. He will be missed by many and loved by all. Sweet Dreams Babe...

Chris's family will be hosting a Celebration of his Life on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at the Quality Hotel and Conference Centre located at 36035 North Parallel Road, Abbotsford. If possible an RSVP to chrisjanasmemorial@gmail.com would be appreciated. In lieu of flowers, if you so choose, a GoFundMe account has been set up to help secure Shea and his girls GoFundMe/Chris Janas
