AIRTH; Catherine Eleanor. June 20, 1925 – January 31, 2014. “At Home with Jesus”
In loving memory of Catherine Eleanor Airth (Kaye) who went to Heaven peacefully at 10:15 pm on Friday, January 31, 2014 at Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre. Predeceased by her parents George and Dorothy Parr and eight brothers and sisters, as well as her loving husband Bob (January 24, 1976) and her great-grandson, Miles (November 30, 2013). Mom was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and moved to BC with her family in 1943. She married our dad in 1948 and had 27 wonderful years with him until his death in 1976.
Mom was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who gave everything to her family. She loved doing for others and especially loved sewing, knitting, baking, and gardening. She loved the Lord and served Him all her life. Mom will be greatly missed by her daughter Kathy (Eric) Bergen and her son Rob Airth, grandchildren Brenda (Keith), Brad (Stephanie), Kristopher (Kayla), Jonathan, Sean (Jeniece), Kelly (Samantha), Lauren (Nick), Shaun (Lindy), Jenny and Bradley. Loved and missed by her great-grandchildren Payton, Carter and Noah. She is also survived by her sister Ruth Newton and sisters-in-law Sylvia (Don) and Dorothy, as well as many nieces and nephews. There will be a Celebration of Her Life on Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 1-5:00 pm at the home of Eric and Kathy. Online condolences can be left for family at
