It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandma, aunt and friend, Kitty Timmermans. Kitty died peacefully, surrounded by her children and grandchildren on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Menno Home in Abbotsford, BC. Kitty was predeceased by her husband Don Timmermans Sr. and by her oldest son Ken. Kitty was born in Rotterdam, Holland on June 12, 1928 to Pieter and Catharina Wels. She was the youngest of 11 children. She, with her husband, immigrated to Canada in 1952 with three small children. Kitty was a mother of seven, grandmother of 16, and great-grandmother of 8 with one more on the way. She will be dearly missed by her children Piet (Barb), Hans (Nora), Don (Gail), Margariet (Spencer), Jerry (Kristina) and Carolyn (Marten), her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her many nephews, nieces and friends. A special thank you to Menno Home for all the wonderful care Kitty received in her final days. A Memorial Service will be held at Living Hope Christian Reformed Church, 34631 Old Clayburn Rd., Abbotsford on Friday, May 20 at 2:00 pm. Online condolences to the family may be made to:
