PRACHNAU, Carl Heinz. It is with broken hearts that we announce that Carl Heinz Prachnau passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 25, 2013. Carl was a God-seeking and unbelievably hardworking man. He was a loving husband, and a wonderful father. He wasn’t a man of many words, but when he spoke, we listened. You are loved, you are missed and you will never be forgotten. It comforts us to know that you are no longer suffering from the ailments and weaknesses that had plagued you for 5 years and are now full of joy with our Lord. We love you dearly and will miss you forever.
Carl was born on November 10, 1945 in Santa Catarina, Brazil. He immigrated to Canada when he was 25 years old. He is predeceased by his father, Jakob Prachnau, and mother, Clara Prachnau (nee Janzen). Carl is survived by his wife Irma, who he was married to and loved for nearly 40 years, his son Mark (Christina), daughters Miriam, Anica (Daryl) Reimer, Christine (Jose) Sanchez, and Lisa as well as his grandchildren Travis, Bradley, Caleigh, Jose, Sidney, Laura, Liliana and Ava.
We would like to express our sincerest appreciation and thanks to Dr. Costantino, Dr. Welsch, the ICU doctors at ARH, as well as the many nurses and care aides who cared for Carl during his admissions. God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be,
So he put his arms around you and whispered “Come to Me”.
A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove that he only takes the best.
