Bruce Hasselback passed away in Abbotsford, B.C., on May 15, 2023, after a short illness. He was 84.
Norman Bruce Hasselback was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, on Dec. 13, 1938. He was involved in the tractor business since he started working at John Deere Canada after his graduation from Scott Collegiate high school in Regina in 1957. He would work at John Deere for 19 years until 1976, when he became a partner in Huron Tractor, a John Deere dealership in Exeter, Ontario.
Bruce married the former Barbara Ann Hahn in 1960 in Regina, and the couple was together until Barb died in Ontario in 1993. Bruce married Jennifer Bradford in 1996 and they lived in Abbotsford. He had been in the care of the Valhaven home in Abbotsford from 2021.
In addition to his first wife, Bruce was predeceased by his parents, Richard C. Hasselback and the former Myriene Anderson; a son, Scott; a granddaughter, Sophia; and two brothers, Richard and Robert.
He is survived by his wife Jennifer Hasselback; sons James Bradford (Aira), Drew Hasselback (Carolyn), Charles Bradford (Angela), and Edward Bradford (Allison); and nine grandchildren.
He requested cremation and no service.
