Bruce Lawton Grant passed away Jan. 12, 2007, 1:30 am. He was born May 9, 1919 in Hamiota, Manitoba. He was predeceased by his first wife Anne (Wolfe) in 1997, parents Joseph and Effie (Allingham) Grant, Âbrothers Carl, Elmer, and Gordon, sister Agnes Louttit, many sisters-in-law and Âbrothers-in-law.  He is survived by his wife Jean, sons Ken (friend Sally) of Grande Prairie, AB, Jim (Beverly) of Chilliwack, BC, daughter Dorothy Spina (Frank) of Abbotsford, BC, granddaughters Brandy Schmidt (Matt) of Langley, BC and Robin Grant of Chilliwack, BC, sister-in-law Rose Wolfe of Medicine Hat, AB, brother-in-law Frank Wolfe of Abbotsford, BC, and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was a RCAF WWII Vet. After the war Bruce homesteaded with his family at Eaglesham, AB in the Peace Country for many years. Before retirement he spent many winters in the Langley and Abbotsford area and when he went into full retirement those years have been spent in Abbotsford. He will be remembered for all his wonderful stories. Many people say they have learned a lot from him and could listen for hours to his lifetime of incredible experiences.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 from 7-9 pm at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Rd. (at Sumas Way) Abbotsford.
A Memorial Service will be held at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 2597 Bourquin Crescent East, Abbotsford on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Dr. J.H. (Hans) Kouwenberg.
In Lieu of flowers donations, if so desired, could be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
