Brett passed away September 8, 2019 at the age of of 71, after a long fought battle with Parkinson's disease. He is survived by his wife, Marlene Ritchie, step-sons; Brent (Teresa) of Richmond, Chris (Cynthia) of Abbotsford, his brother Ross of Victoria and the joy of his life - his three granddaughters; Avery, Addison and Makena of Richmond. Brett was born in Victoria. He lived and worked on Vancouver Island, the lower mainland, Kelowna and Alberta all in lumber sales, settling in Abbotsford and finishing his career with Terminal Forest Products in Vancouver. He was very active in sports - rugby - Abbotsford Rugby Club; softball, running, fishing, skiing and golf until Parkinson's took those away from him. The family wishes to thank the incredible staff at Menno Home, East 1, for their care over the last three years. Donations to Menno Home or Parkinson Society British Columbia would be appreciated.
