Bob Schmidt
September 19, 1939 - May 8, 2017
Bob Schmidt passed away peacefully on Monday, May 8 at Abbotsford Hospital after a three week illness after a minor toe surgery. We believe he suffered a stroke which ended in a severe pneumonia from which he could not recover despite aggressive medical intervention. He is predeceased by his parents JC & Lydia Schmidt. He is survived by his wife Joyce of 54 years, his son, Stewart (Gwen), grandchildren, JR (Meggie) Schmidt, Liza (Zach) Funk, & Jordan (Brianna) Schmidt, also his brother Earl (Jean) Schmidt of Victoria; sister Carole (John) Neufeld of Kelowna; sister Ann Marie Schellenberg of Abbotsford; sister Lynette Lemieux of Saskatoon and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob always gave 110% to everything he did, which included a large networking business, developing a global network to distribute Brian Tracy materials, the purchase of a large Hotel for the Haggai Institute on Maui, where he lived for 13 years. After which he lived in Phoenix for 12 years. Because he gave so freely of himself and his energies, his resources were depleted to the point that he could not recover from the current illness. He will be sorely missed by family and friends, but is enjoying his reward in heaven, free of all his diseases.
