Beryl H. of Lantzville, BC passed away peacefully on Monday July 24, 2006 at Dufferin Place, Nanaimo, BC.
Beryl was born in Tadmore, Sask. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Agnes; his daughter Cheryl (Peter) Geissler; grandchildren Megan (Cameron) Little, Nicole (Kevin) Geissler, and Scott (Christie) Geissler all of Abbotsford, BC; his son Gary (Wendy) Weeks of Victoria, BC; grandchildren Richelle (Chris) Anderberg of Calgary, AB, Glenyss Weeks of Langley and Emmett Weeks of Victoria and one great granddaughter Hannah Little of Abbotsford.
Beryl had many jobs in his long life beginning with farming in the Regina, Sask area. He moved to Abbotsford, BC in 1954 to continue farming and Parksville, BC in 1958. In 1962 he changed careers and moved to the Wellington area finally retiring from working as a batchman driver at Ocean Cement in 1972 before moving to Nanoose Bay. He moved back to the Lantzville area in 1977 where he has resided ever since.
Beryl was an avid fisherman and loved nothing better than to spend his days either in his yard “puttering around” or on the ocean fishing.
There will be no funeral and interment will be in Abbotsford.
The family wishes to express their sincere thank you to all the staff of Dufferin Place, especially the nursing staff of Cedar Wing.
Beryl is now at peace.
