LAMONT, Bernece (Bunny)
With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Bernece (Bunny) Lamont. She passed away in the Abbotsford Hospital on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 with her family by her side.
Bunny was born in Vancouver, BC. She is survived by her husband, Russell of 52 years, her children, Bruce, Carole (Scott) Smith, Brian, and her grandson, Marshal Smith. She was predeceased by her parents, Hilda and Carl Staf.
Bunny was financially astute and ran a home based accounting business for many years. She spent many hours at the kitchen table with her friends and clients, keeping their books and preparing their income tax returns. Every business meeting was an opportunity to catch up on their personal lives and share a cup of tea and a few cookies. She will be remembered for her generous hospitality insuring every visitor had enough to eat. Her holiday banquets for up to thirty people, family, friends and neighbours were legendary. She was a loving wife, a caring mother and a good friend of many.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 9, 2009 at 1:30 PM at Cascade Community Church at 35190 Delair Road, Abbotsford with Rev. Dr. J. H. (Hans) Kouwenberg officiating. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Heart and Stroke foundation or charity of your choice.
