Bernard Joseph
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bernard Jones after a courageous battle with cancer on April 2, 2005 with his family by his side.
Bernard was born September 25, 1933 in Windsor, Ontario and lived most of his life in Abbotsford. He was a man of many talents, he loved to fish, hunt, golf and play cards but he enjoyed most being with his family and friends. He was a long time member of the Abbotsford Legion and Eagles Club.
Survived by loving wife Evelyn of 48 years; daughter Gail Silvers; sons Dan (Cindy) and Mark (Dawn); nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sisters Marilyn (Bud) Dowing and Virginia (Hope) Whittaker; brothers Paul and Donald of Windsor, Ontario.
Predeceased by parents Bernadette and Melvin; brother Gerald and sister Joyce, all of Windsor, Ontario.
For those who knew and loved Bernard, he will be sadly missed. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 9, 2005 at 1;00 pm at Trinity Memorial United Church, 33737 George Ferguson Way, Abbotsford, BC (across from the old post office) followed by a celebration of his life at the Eagles Club, 33868 Essendene, Abbotsford, BC.
No flowers by request, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in his memory. The family wishes to give a special thanks to Rev. Connie.
Bernard, your memory will be cherished forever and you shall be sadly missed and in our hears always …
