Ben Schmidt passed away suddenly into the presence of his Savior on Monday, January 10, 2011 at the age of 88. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He will be remembered by his wife of 64 years, Anne, son Harvey (Helen), daughter Janet Gauer (Ralf), 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his son, David, parents, August and Sarah Schmidt, and brothers Ellett, William, Walter and Milton.
